In the opening game they played with long rellies, effected the pace match as the players were not as explosive. Normally they perform with attacking each other with a minimum numerous unforce error.
Wang Shixian only led twice in the opening
game when she took the first point and then five points in a row to lead 6-1. Wang
Yihan then change the tempo to take the next seven points to lead 8-6. It was a
lead she never relinquished as she went from 10-10 to 15-11 before winning six
of the next nine points to win the opening game 21-14.
The second game was much closer as the
players traded points. At first, Wang
Yihan leading all the way until Wang Shixian took three points in a row to lead
9-7. Wang Shixian went into the half game interval 11-8 ahead and although Wang
Yihan drew level at 11-11. On that position, Wang Shixian try to up her game
and she reeled off three quick points to make it 14-11.
The world No. 1 continued to lead until
17-15 when the third seed found an extra gear to win the six of the next seven
points to clinch the match.
