Top seed Lin Dan just need 17 minutes to beat Amar Awad of Syrian. The three-time world champion won 21-4, 21-7. He will face his junior Wen Kai, who beat Thailand’s Pakkawat Vilailak 22-20, 21-10.

Un-seeded Wen Kai knows his compatriot clearly as they were sparring partner in training center of China, but it will be a big history in his live to upset Super Dan, the best shuttler in the world.

Among those joining the Chinese men’s single in the third round are Thailand’s Boonsak Ponsana and Suppanyu Avinhingsanon, Japan’s Kazushi Yamada, Keigo Sanada, Sho Sasaki, and Vietnam’s Nguyen Tien Minh.

Lin Dan, who pulled out of the Malaysia Open at the quarter-final stage after aggravating an injury, is second with 16,040 points. Meanwhile World No.1 rival Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia currently sits top of the OSIM BWF World Superseries standings. He had 18,550 points after winning the PROTON Malaysia Open Superseries. He added some point after reaching the final of the VICTOR Korea Open Superseries Premier final.
