Chinese Men’s Single dominated BAC 2011


As so many people predicted, Chinese suttlers have pass the match easy. Seven Chinese male reached to third round of the singles competition in the Badminton Asia Championships in Chengdu, China on Wednesday.

Leading the way is Olympic and Asian Games winner Lin Dan and world champion Chen Jin. Joining them are second seed Chen Long, sixth seed Du Penyu, seventh seed Bao Chunlai, eighth seed Wang Zhengming and Wen Kai. For all their domination on the world stage, China have to wait until Sunday to claim men single.

Top seed Lin Dan just need 17 minutes to beat Amar Awad of Syrian. The three-time world champion won 21-4, 21-7. He will face his junior Wen Kai, who beat Thailand’s Pakkawat Vilailak 22-20, 21-10.

Un-seeded Wen Kai knows his compatriot clearly as they were sparring partner in training center of China, but it will be a big history in his live to upset Super Dan, the best shuttler in the world.

Among those joining the Chinese men’s single in the third round are Thailand’s Boonsak Ponsana and Suppanyu Avinhingsanon, Japan’s Kazushi Yamada, Keigo Sanada, Sho Sasaki, and Vietnam’s Nguyen Tien Minh.

There was bad news for Malaysia fans. Only Liew Daren is their sole representative left in the men’s singles. Liew had to deep digg before defeating Hong Kong’s Wong Wing Ki 22-20, 23-21 in 43 minutes.

In the Badminton Asia Championships this year, The Chinese dominated prove their power in badminton game to the world eyes. The tournament which was held at the Sichuan Provincial Gymnasium in Chengdu had been hardly reached for the other shuttlers in Asia recently.
